Communication and knowledge... very poor! It was a struggle to get information, unnecessary delays were created due to poor communication... many times if I didn’t reach out I would not know where in the process our application was... Unfortunately I regret keeping my mortgage with New American Funding after this experience.

Communication was horrible. They didn't even tell me the house didn't appraise out until the day of closing and I lost $500 in commissions just to make it close.

Mark was up front in the process telling us we had a specific amount that we had to pay on February 1st which was after our closing/ refinance. Once we signed the papers I was emailed and told I had to pay a month earlier then previously told and the amount rose $200. Communication from the beginning continued to change between the multiple people trying to email me.

My experience started well and quickly went worse. We started with calls answered or returned daily and then after the lock, not answered for days or vague email responses. Even emails that included direct authorization from supervisors that we could legally take to court became useless because they would not follow them. Our list of friends and family that wanted to use our initial experiences to also use Omar/NAF became options for us to find other banks in the future. Buyers beware

Lack of communication created problems and delay the process. The issue was not Salvador, it was the underwriter. Worst experience I ever had in my 10 years practicing real estate

I never actually heard from Tania. I mainly worked with Sandra and the one time I tried contacting Tania, she asked Sandra to respond to my inquiry. But after I was pre-approved, it was very difficult to get ahold of anyone in the company. There were times I had pressing questions and had to wait days for responses. As a matter of fact, after I closed, outside of automated emails, I've yet to hear from anyone at New American.

Didn’t close on the date that was set and there was no communication with me on the day after New American employees were finished working. My family and I were homeless for the weekend. On December 18th, that was closing and it cost me to stay in a hotel and food. I’m very unhappy how I was not told it wasn’t going to go to closing. We needed find a place to stay for my family and I. This was the worst experience buying a home all because New American didn’t hold up to the date. Very unhappy!

Zero communication on my loan. Finger pointing amongst the employees and no one wanted to take ownership of the process. Mistakes were made with the process the loaner officer wanted to blame me and charge extra. I had to argue to make the team take accountability. My advice is to sent everything electronically for proof. It saved me thousands of dollars with this company. The rate was good, the local office terrible. I can not and will not recommend.
