Delayed closing and would not respond to fix the issue. Lack of communication between all parties.

Truth and honesty regarding points I was charged. I don’t plan on letting this go. I am VERY upset about this and feel I was lied to about the points. I was told there was no reason to pay points my rate was locked in at 3.875% and I was asking if we should pay points to get the rate down to the 3.625% I was originally quoted. I was told by Anna “No, I would not advise it as it is very expensive and would only bring us down 1/4 of a point.“ Then low and behold I was charged $3800 for points (what happened to being the very exact same amount as the Pennsylvania State transfer tax that I was not to be charged because I was purchasing the home my parents) I don’t plan on ever doing business with this company again I will complete a yelp review which will not be good. I plan on contacting the corporate office and whatever else necessary to try and recuperate this money I feel it was very unfair and dishonest to say one thing and do another.

Communication was horrible and almost non existent, had to contact his manager to even find out what was going on and was ready to pull our application multiple times and couldn't because rates were rising. It took 2 full months from the date of application to the day of closing, we provided everything requested as soon as requested, had a nightmare with the appraisal that had to be appealed and wasted 4 weeks of time waiting for it to be done and appealed. It was a total nightmare and absolute chaos to get this done with a good credit score, employment history and income.

Both Benjamin and Derrick thorpe should work closer together to ensure the following: When requesting information such as home insurance they should read what was sent by the insurance agent. To come back after an insurance binder was sent and ask if it includes hail insurance was a clear way to show us that they never read the insurance binder sent to them. Note we had an insurance binder in place immediately ( before we even bought the house) Initially a complete list of documents required throughout (especially when/at what stage) the process should be provided and discussed at the first time we met. To get document requests last minute (continuously) with an expected turn around time of 24 hours is sometimes very frustrating. During initial conversations, with the suggested closing date almost 2 months out, we should not have heard from Benjamin that his first solution was to reschedule the closing to a later date. That was very upsetting that this was his first answer. BTW the closing did happen as originally scheduled. We feel this only happened because we constantly pushed Benjamin and Derrick to do their job. Throughout the entire process the only company that continuously proved to be a problem was the lending company. We had to constantly chase both Benjamin and Derrick to get answers. Even during the last few days we still could not get a solid answer from either on the closing date. Who contacts who needs to be clearly identified at the initial discussions. The home appraisal. We had to push to get it scheduled. We paid it upfront only to hear multiple excuses why the appraisal company (which you chose and contracted with) could not deliver the appraisal in a timely manner. I believe it took over 10 business days to finally get the appraisal. All we received was "Sorry". Both my wife and I have great credit. We had more than enough in the bank to make to make this all happen and we both have high paying jobs. This should have been easy, yet in the end, we (my wife and I) were both extremely disappointed with one part of the whole thing, the lender. Improve on communication, who is responsible for what, time line for what documents are needed and at what stage, read the documents that are sent.

More communication, better organization, not having to submit same documents multiple times, not having closing date delayed twice and still waiting on closing package on day of final closing. NAF caused unnecessary stress, costs and an unsatisfactory experience for a first time homebuyer.

Really rough transaction. Could have been a lot better with good communication

Less people involved or knowing who was involved. Better communication.

Communication was not up to par. Many emails went unanswered, the timeline we had discussed at the beginning of the process was way off. The tardiness of the process cost me a very good real estate deal.
