I did not respond to your initial survey request as I didn't have a favorable response and was not going to enlist your company in the future. However, since you made a second request, I thought perhaps you could garner something useful for your business in the future. You "laid off" my mortgage person in the middle of my loan application! Cat Kusmirek has been my mortgage rep for several mortgage loans, refi's, and home loans, AND, has provided EXCELLENT service in all instances. The person replacing Cat, although very nice and personable, self-admittedly, did not have much experience in the type of home loan I was in the middle of obtaining, and the closing was delayed, causing major disruption in the work I had contracted. I will continue to follow Cat Kusmerik to her next mortgage servicing company, KNOWING I will receive the best possible service and advice, as this has always been the case in the past. My advice to you - check the pulse of your customers, perhaps a survey like this one, BEFORE risking losing an excellent employee.

If I didn't find out about problems at the last minute. This must have been his first case, so I hope he will be better for the next person.

It was not just Molly, as I was never sure who my clients and I were working with from one minute to the next. As we went along Molly took over and the experience did become more pleasant as she was on top of thing for the most part. Maybe some more tanning om individual states offered to your employees would help. Other than that we got the deal closed and over all my clients were taken care of and happy with the over all. So I think we all ended on a good note. Thank You Respectfully Serena

There was not a lot of communication and closing had to be delayed once, almost twice. For new construction, I feel we had plenty of time to be ready to close on time.

Better communication. More timely responses. Passed the buck to the next person with no clear answers to question.

The Closing Statement was completely incorrect, the loan costs were calculated incorrectly and I had to wait hours for all loan documents to be redone. I have never seen such incompetence and unprofessional behavior in my life. I am very disappointed in this mortgage company.

It feels like I got hustled. Once I received a more competitive quote from another loan provider, the numbers from New American were updated and APPEARED more favorable. They were not, however. Once we got to the end the numbers were closely aligned with New Americans original numbers. Things moved quickly and if you appreciate speed over trust, speed is a true benefit. I prefer trust and working on behalf of the person securing the loan.

After the initial loan application was completed and disclosures were signed, I was unable to get the LO on the phone and my calls weren’t returned. I communicated with the processor, with the exception of a reply to an email where I was referred to the processor for an answer. I also chose my closing attorney on the AIPF and when I saw the CD, I noticed that the closing attorney wasn’t the one I selected. When I asked about it and questioned why I couldn’t use the attorney that I had selected since those are costs that I pay and I have the right to choose, I was told that Vantage Point title was the one that they sent the title request to and wasn’t really given an explanation. When I explained that I chose that specific attorney because that’s who I closed with previously, and I know that I can get lower costs and fees with them because of my business relationship, the processor agreed to match the fees. I still feel like I could have paid less but I also know that delaying closing meant a potential rate extension. The final AIPF was not filled out by me and I did not ask for help in selecting a closing attorney but I felt like since we were so close to closing, I didn’t have much of a choice so I did sign. The communication from the LO was non existent and if I’d known it would be like that this time, I may have chosen a different lender. My previous LO left NAF and she is a friend of mine so I am used to stellar service and I thought that was the standard at NAF. I won’t be using a non-local LO in the future even if it means a different mortgage company.
