Obtaining a mortgage with New American Funding was extremely stressful. There needs to be better preparation through pre-approval to the closing of the loan. Making sure all bases are covered prior to proceeding with having a expectant family sell their home and becoming homeless for 4 weeks due to an oversight. Their was a lack of communication and information provided being overlooked. Information being requested days and hours before our 2nd extension that could have been resolved early on.

There were things that I was never told that were happening all throughout the process. I thought my rate was locked when In fact it wasn't. This was never communicated to me. Because of that I closed at a higher apr and a higher mortgage payment. At the end Juanita worked fast and efficiently and I appreciate that but I wouldn't recommend her to others because of the amount of problems I had with her lack of communication with me on key factors.

The process started out great, but communication was very poor. I understand this is not all Mack's responsibility, but he should have been directing this. We rarely got information or updates unless prompted by us ("What's happening?" "Is there progress?" "Is there anything else you need?"). We supplied all information within 24 hours, but had to send things more than once and explain things over and over (despite submitting all requested documentation).
