Clients were told 2.75% rate and given 3.35% told no loan origination fee because he is a veteran and had a large loan origination fee. Poor communication. Would not recommend

I found that across the board, it was challenging to understand the grammar used in all emails I received from New American, I understand everyone is busy, but please review before sending. The main factor of my disappointment is that the whole process took six months to close. This is way over average refinance time. For example, in an email I was told I would be contacted within two weeks to continue our process, but after almost a month I had to follow up and remind them about our refinance.

Closing on time would have been nice for the buyer and seller instead of 2 days later which almost did not happen and held up a separate transaction.Mistakes do happen in transactions as we are all only human, however when mistakes happen it's about the recovery from it and the file should take precedence in the situation to accommodate those effected in the transaction.There was a complete lack of urgency on lenders part as well as being extremely unprepared which was very frustrating .

Many times she would tell us how "hard" she was working but any time we had a question or an issue there would be no response or the person who deals with that would be conveniently out of the office. The final cash to close price changed very frequently with no explanation, then on closing day it was once again a different number. Luckily the title company allowed me to make up the difference in cash since we already had our cashier's check. She also did not show up to signing.

My husband and I worked with Matt in 2018 when we purchased our condo and the service was great. So when were in the market for a new home we immediately decided to work with Matt. The main issue we faced was his unresponsiveness and mismanagement of documents. We went days without an update, we had to initiate contact to understand where we were in the process and we were asked several times for the same documents. We missed our original closing date due to misinformation from Matt.
