"Toby Leal was excellent. I have worked with her in the past. She is the best! With NAF, however, the company made some ludicrous requests for information (e.g., asking for a 2nd letter from VRS, stating that my pension was lifetime for Mary and me). There was no need for a second letter, stating the same thing again. Yes, there were COLA increases, but the key point is that Mary and I are still alive and the pension payment will continue until we are both dead. Toby was able to correct the NAF unreasonable request for a 2nd letter. Thank you, Toby. I also did not appreciate the inconvenience NAF caused us by delaying our closing date due to the sale of our house in Kansas. The Underwriter in Kansas violated the 3-day rule, causing additional delays. Due to the delays, we ended up having to stay in our empty Kansas home with no furniture, and had to make a grueling one-day drive to our Texas house. I am thankful that Toby Leal went to bat for us throughout the entire process. I am sad to say that I believe there would have been a more lengthy delay and more inconvenience in getting into the Onalaska TX house, if it had not been for Toby Leal. I already said that Toby Leal is the best! She did a tremendous job, in spite of the obstacles she faced on the Kansas and Texas factions of the mortgage and closing process."
