"From the very first time I spoke with Ryan he was patient, informative, very down to earth, honest and immediately made himself accessible to me for follow up questions, concerns and incredibly helpful and non-judgmental advice. I had spent roughly a month and a half speaking with other mortgage lenders before I spoke with Ryan and I knew from our very first conversation that he was the person I wanted to do business with - no reservations. At 50 years old, my husband and I, after a rocky financial past, were trying to make our dream of home ownership a reality. Not only did Ryan put me at ease by identifying with part of my history, but he validated that our dream was a real and attainable goal. Unlike most other lenders, he didn't push me off of the phone telling me to call him when our credit was at a workable number, he worked with me and gave me relatively simple and very clear instructions as to how to get my credit exactly where it needed to be. With his relatable and down-to-earth people skills, I was 100% comfortable putting my trust in Ryan and I immediately got to work on the steps he advised me to take. After working with down payment amounts, his informative information regarding interest rates, purchase price, his very clear and honest advice on our credit.... within a month it was time for us to start looking at houses as we were within 2 to 3 weeks of being pre-approved. Well, even faster than that, two weeks later we were looking at our 3rd property with our NAF referral realtor. Even after I was connected with my realtor, when I had questions about a property or the process, I felt more comfortable asking Ryan for the information I sought rather than the realtor because I knew that I could always trust what Ryan told me... whether or not it was what I wanted to hear, he always told me the truth... but Ryan delivered all of his information in a no nonsense, supportive and educated manner so no matter what he had to tell me, it was never really 'bad' news... maybe another hurdle for US to jump over but I knew he had my best interest at heart and I never once felt alone throughout the entire process. He also reinforced how important it was for him to protect my husband and I during all transactions... our investment, our privacy, our rights, and ultimately, once again, our ability to do what we dreamed of was REAL. Within a week, we were there, we found our home. After spending the time working with Ryan, I felt confident making an offer based on what I wanted, not my realtor, and our offer was accepted! I spent a good part of that afternoon in tears... we accomplished the first step of what I thought was the impossible... and Ryan had my back the entire time. Our families didn't support us the way that Ryan supported us. I don't know if NAF appreciates Ryan the way I do.... I don't know if I can ever convey to Ryan himself how much I appreciate and value him. I will simply say I haven't had a very easy time in life... from when I was a little girl right up to now as a 50 year old woman. Still, every once in a blue moon, I cross paths with someone so special that they restore my faith in people... and in myself. Ryan grew, very quickly, to be one of those special people. Buying a home to some people may be a normal part of everyday life... for me it was a step I never thought I would be blessed to have the opportunity to take. Ryan spent time with me and made me feel not only capable but empowered to attain a goal that has truly changed the way I look at my life today- even at the life I can offer my daughter today. My husband is disabled and my daughter just turned 11 today so I don't have much time to myself but Ryan was willing to catch up with me each week on Friday nights... sometimes until 8pm until I knew where I stood, what I needed to accomplish and always had me laughing by the end of the call. I would recommend Ryan to my closest friends and family as well as a stranger looking for a good mortgage broker because I know whoever is fortunate enough to cross paths with Ryan will have one of the most positive, reassuring and inspiring experiences of their life. To think that he was able to instill such confidence in me through phone calls amazes me and I truly hope that I get to meet this amazing employee of yours someday. I hope that NAF knows and appreciates the man that Ryan has proven to be. One with values, compassion, intelligence, empathy, perseverance, faith, humor and the soul of someone who will make anyone whose life he touches fortunate to have him in their corner. I could hinestly keep writing about how wonderful Ryan consistently proved himself to be but I hope that my message is clear... he is a gift to NAF for sure, and now a gift to me."
