New American Funding Creates Mentorship and Leadership Development Opportunities for Local Orange County Youth
New American Funding, a national mortgage lender, is pleased to announce its participation in the Beyond School Walls program, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County’s workplace based mentoring program. Through the program, New American is providing local Orange County students the opportunity to experience the corporate world and receive one to one mentoring and enrichment with New American Funding employee volunteers.
For several months students in the program have been transported at least once per month after school to New American Funding’s corporate headquarters in Tustin, California where they meet with New American Funding mentors to work on corporate topics such as career development, financial literacy as well as life skill topics such as team building.
New American Funding President Patty Arvielo sits on the Orange County Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters and initiated the Beyond School Walls program within her organization as a way to give back to local youth impacted by Big Brothers Big Sisters through motivation, empowerment and leadership development with her esteemed employees. Beyond School Walls will continue throughout the remainder of 2014 with New American Funding.
The Big Brothers Big Sisters program, under Patty’s tutelage, is one of many outreach efforts encouraged in the New American Funding corporate culture the company has coined as “NAF 360.” NAF 360 is a program Patty and her husband, Rick Arvielo, New American Funding CEO, have developed and implemented with their growing workforce of 800+ employees.
