New American Funding Hosts Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive Benefitting Second Harvest Food Bank

New American Funding, a national leader in mortgage banking, is hosting their 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit a local food bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. The food drive will help the less fortunate families in Orange County enjoy meals during the holidays.

The mortgage banker has partnered up with the local non-profit for the second year in a row. Second Harvest Food Bank began in 1983 with the vision to eliminate hunger in Orange County. Since its inception the non-profit has provided more than 272 million pounds of donated and surplus food to 470 local charities and feeds over 240,000 individuals each month.

New American Funding will host the drive from November 1st to November 18th, collecting items such as canned meats, pasta, rice, beans, canned fruits, soups, hot and cold cereal and peanut butter. Although it is a food drive, the mortgage banker will also be asking employees to donate personal care items for these families as well including diapers, toothpaste, soap, toilet tissue, band-aids and more. Rick Arvielo, CEO and President of New American Funding, explains "This company has a strong commitment to supporting charities, and it is important to give back to our communities. Not only is this recognized by me, but we also receive tremendous support from the entire New American Funding team."

New American Funding has participated in several charitable events throughout the year and supports a number of local charities including Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, Colette's Children's Home and HomeAid OC.
